Course Description:

An eye-opening book!  Issues affecting the gifted child, with powerful information associated with giftedness!  Some of the brightest, most creative children are being misdiagnosed with disorders such as ADHD, ADD, Bipolar, Autism, Asperger's, and  OCD,  to name a few.  This book will help us view the gifted child to avoid mislabeling.

Course Objectives:
Participants will:
1)   Read recognized literature in the field of gifted education.
2)   Gain a comprehensive understanding of current theories, models, and practices in
      gifted education.
3)   Discover new and interesting resources for educating gifted students.
4)   Share their readings with the group and reflect on new ideas to meet the needs of
      gifted students.
